URGENT STRIKE INFO!
UNISON MEMBERS HAVE VOTED OVERWHELMINGLY TO TAKE STRIKE ACTION ON WEDNESDAY 30TH NOVEMBER 2011 – MIDNIGHT TO MIDNIGHT.
UNISON will inform employers that the hospital should gear up to provide acute services based on the level that would be provided on Christmas Day.
Admin & Clerical: For UNISON Members involved in providing Admin & Clerical Services UNISON is recommending that ALL Admin & Clerical Staff take strike action.
Support Services: For UNISON members providing support services, Catering, Domestic, Laundry, Porters, Transport and Stores we are recommending that ALL UNISON members take strike action.
Clinical Staff: For UNISON members involved in providing clinical services; If the area in which you work is normally closed on Christmas Day we are recommending that you take strike action.
For UNISON members involved in providing clinical services to patients; If you would normally be expected to work on Christmas Day you should be prepared to provide that service.
Unison will continue to engage with employers to make sure patient safety is maintained, you will be informed of any clarification via your Shop Steward/Branch Representative, concerning the above advice.
